This summer, bring your SUN Bucks card to a local farmers market, farm stand, or mobile market and triple your spending by adding Double Up Food Bucks and Bonus Bucks! SUN Bucks, also known as Summer EBT, is a federal program that helps families by providing money to buy groceries during the summer when children are not in school. Starting the summer of 2026, families that qualify for this program will receive $120 for each child enrolled in the program.
Funds for the SUN Bucks program are issued on a card that works like a debit card but functions like a SNAP-EBT card. Until August 31, parents or legal care-givers can use this card at participating local food outlets to triple their purchases on fresh, healthy, local food.
Any customer with a SUN Bucks card is immediately eligible to participate in the Double Up Food Bucks and Bonus Bucks programs. Bonus Bucks are only available through August 31, 2026.
SUN Bucks is managed by the New Mexico Healthcare Authority. For more information on SUN Bucks, how to sign up, and more, visit their website.
